Pistola Denim Review 2026: Lexi, Cassie, Wes or Lana? Finding Your Perfect LA Jean

You know the pair. The jeans you reach for on a Monday, wear to dinner on Thursday and pack for the weekend because nothing else sits quite right. Most of us find that pair by accident after a dozen returns. Pistola Denim, a Los Angeles womenswear label, tries to shortcut the search with a tight lineup of named fits (Lexi, Cassie, Wes, Dakota, Lana) and a fit guide that explains exactly how each one sits.
We went through the fits, fabrics, prices and the fine print on shipping and returns in October 2026. Here's which pair suits which body and closet, and how to pay less.
The Story: Luxury Construction, Sensible Prices
According to Pistola's About page, the brand was founded in Los Angeles in 2013 by Grace Na, who brought more than twenty years of apparel-industry experience. She saw a gap in the denim market: high-quality jeans with luxury construction and fabrication, priced below their premium counterparts.
Since then Pistola has grown beyond denim into sweaters, utility pants, tops, jackets and jumpsuits with a "street-smart and utilitarian" feel. The brand says two things have stayed constant: quality and ease, for "a busy, modern, and city-dwelling woman."
What Makes It Different: A Fit for Every Mood
- Shop by fit: straight, barrel, boyfriend, slim/skinny, wide leg, bootcut/flare and petites, each with named styles.
- Shop by rise: low (sits lower on the hips), mid (just below the natural waist) and high (at or above the waist).
- Two fabric families: rigid denim, which Pistola says naturally softens and relaxes with wear, and comfort stretch, which feels easy from the first wear.
- Clear inseams: the Lexi is a cropped 29", the Wes 30", the Lana a full-length 33", so you know where the hem lands before you buy.
- Sizes 23–30 on most jeans, plus a Petites edit with versions of the Lexi, Cassie, Wes and more.

| Cassie Super High Rise Straight | $188–$218 | You like a waist-defining rise with a classic straight leg |
| Wes High Rise Barrel | $198 | You want the modern barrel shape with a clean, elongated line |

| Evie High Rise Slim Boot | $188–$228 | You like a slim bootcut, including a coated Mocha version |
| Harlowe Relaxed Baggy | $198 | Your weekend look is slouchy and easy |
| Sabrina Curved Utility Pants | $178 | You want a non-denim pant with a curved leg |
| Harley Trucker Jacket | $258 | You need a denim jacket with a relaxed fit |
| Sweaters (Korey, Aura, Shana) | $168–$198 | You're building full fall outfits, not just buying jeans |
Straight-leg showdown: Lexi or Cassie?
The Lexi has a mid rise and a sculpted bowed leg that curves softly at the knee before ending in a cropped 29" inseam. In Moonwave it's a darker, refined wash. The Cassie goes up to a super high rise that shapes the waist, then falls into a classic straight leg at full length. Both are rigid denim, so expect them to feel firm at first and relax with wear. Buy Lexi if you're shorter or love ankle boots; buy Cassie if you want the waist hold and a longer line.
Something wider: Wes, Dakota or Lana?
Wes is a high-rise barrel with a 30" inseam. Dakota stays close through the hips and thighs and releases into a subtle flare, in an authentic rigid denim Pistola says molds to the body over time. Lana is the only one of the three in comfort stretch (75.5% cotton, 13% rayon, 10% polyester, 1.5% polyurethane), with a 33" full-length wide leg. If you hate breaking in jeans, start with Lana.
Beyond denim
The fall collection adds the Harley Trucker Jacket, with front flap pockets and a contrast dark-roast placket, plus knits like the Korey Featherweight Cardigan ($168) and Shana Cable Embroidered Sweater ($198), and the Catarina Nylon Puffer Vest ($168).
