Negative Underwear Fall & Winter 2026: The Garnet and Mink Capsule for Cozy Nights In

There's a particular kind of evening that only happens after the clocks change. It's dark by five, the radiator ticks, and your whole plan is a bath, a book and something soft enough that you forget you're wearing it. Your summer drawer of sheer mesh suddenly feels a little underdressed for the weather.

Negative Underwear's fall edit is built for those nights. The brand known for unpadded mesh bras has spent the season adding plush cotton waffle knits in a shade called Mink, deep wine-red Garnet modal, washable "silk-alternative" sleepwear and striped crew socks. WeartrialsLab went through the fall pieces on negativeunderwear.com in October 2026 and built a cold-weather capsule, from what you sleep in to what you wear under your sweater, with every price checked in USD.

Who This Season Guide Is For

  • The minimalist who wants her lounge and sleep drawer to match her no-frills bras.
  • The homebody planning a winter of slow mornings and early nights.
  • The early gift shopper looking for something cozy before the December rush.

The Color of the Season: Garnet

Negative describes Garnet as "a sumptuous velvety pinot deep red tone," and it runs through almost every category this fall. The easiest way in is the Whipped Henley ($135): fitted and buttery soft, with a deeper V neckline, two functional snap buttons at the center and two faux grommets up the side of the neck. It's made from Whipped, the brand's micro modal from Austria (91% micro modal, 9% Lycra), which it calls "wispy thin" and slightly sheer.

Pair it with the matching Whipped Track Pant in Garnet ($198), a high-rise, wide-leg pant with a fluid drape and a three-snap faux fly. Together, that's a $333 head-to-toe set that looks like a velvet-toned evening outfit and feels like pajamas. Buy this if your idea of a winter Saturday is the couch, a candle and zero waistbands that pinch.

Plush, Not Bulky: The Mink Waffle Knits

If Garnet is the drama, Mink is the comfort. Negative calls the shade "a soft café au lait muted river stone," and the Waffle Knit Pullover ($168) is the piece to wear it in: a slouchy boyfriend fit that cinches slightly at the waist, a deep ribbed collar you can fold down or pop up, and mother-of-pearl shell buttons at the neck. The fabric is a cotton waffle jacquard (98% cotton, 2% spandex) with what the brand calls a smooth underside, "aka no imprints."

The Waffle Knit Cropped Track Pant ($180) finishes the set with a natural-waist, straight-leg crop, pockets and a cord drawstring with dipped tips. Negative's own tip on the pullover: size down if you want a more streamlined fit. Buy this if you want loungewear you'd happily answer the door in.

Sleep in Something Swishy (and Washable)

Negative's Supreme fabric is a Korean high-density woven poly that the brand calls its washable alternative to silk. In Garnet, the Supreme Tank ($110) has an open V neckline, a racerback and a hem just below the hip, cut in an "intentionally relaxed" fit. The Supreme Short ($110) adds tulip-slit side hems and doesn't cling.

The appeal for winter is practical: it has the swish of a silk set without the dry-cleaning. The tank and short are both labeled machine wash cold, hang dry. When we checked, the short was sold out in XL, but the other sizes were available.

What Goes Underneath: A Bra for Sweater Weather

Under a chunky knit, you want something that disappears in feel but still feels a little special. The Sieve Cutout Bra in Garnet Spark ($70) is Negative's most minimal mesh cut, open at the center, with adjustable hook-and-eye closure and straps. The color is "a shimmery bronze tinsel on a velvety pinot deep red base," which makes it feel festive even though nobody else sees it. It's sheer Belgian power micromesh, and the brand is upfront that it's see-through. A 2-pack is $119.

Prefer opacity? The Whipped Non-Wire Bra in Navy ($70) is lined in the front, and Negative tags it for its Holiday Edit.

Errand-Proof Layer: The Club Pullover

For the coffee run between cozy days, the Club Pullover ($140) is the most "real clothes" piece in the edit: a loose, long-sleeve pullover with a collar and deep front placket, ribbed cuffs and hem, in a lightweight cotton/modal mix (50% cotton, 47% modal, 3% spandex). Negative suggests it for lounging or running errands. The matching Club Crop Pant in Garnet is $150.

The Socks You'll Wear Every Day Until April

The Feel Good Varsity Sock Trio in Toast is the small luxury of the edit: athletic-inspired crew socks with stripe details, "Feel / Good" across the ankles and NEGATIVE along the insole. The pack includes one white, one heather grey and one mink pair, with woven-in arch support, a cushioned footbed and a reinforced toe, in one size. It was $48 instead of $54 when we checked, and it's an easy way to reach the $100 free-shipping line.

Gifting and Holiday Timing

Negative has a digital gift card and gift collections on its site, and the Mink and Garnet pieces are naturally giftable because lounge sizing (XS to XXL) is more forgiving than bra sizing. Negative doesn't publish holiday shipping cutoffs on its policy pages, so order early. Know the return rules before you wrap:

  • Free US shipping on orders over $100.
  • Full-priced items (including Kits) can be returned within 21 days of the original purchase date: unworn, unwashed, tags on, in original packaging.
  • Store credit is free to process, issued electronically, and doesn't expire.
  • Sale items are final sale.

That 21-day window starts at purchase, not delivery, so a gift bought in early November won't be returnable at Christmas.

Fall and Winter FAQ

What is Negative's Garnet color?

The brand describes it as a velvety pinot deep red. It appears across Whipped lounge, Supreme sleep, Club sweats and the Sieve Cutout Bra (as Garnet Spark, with bronze shimmer).

Is the waffle knit machine washable?

The Waffle Knit Cropped Track Pant's label says machine wash cold with like colors, turned inside out, and tumble dry low. Check each item's care line on its product page.

Is the Whipped fabric see-through?

Negative describes Whipped as wispy thin and slightly sheer, especially when stretched. The Whipped Non-Wire Bra is lined in front for more opacity.

Does Negative have a holiday promo code?

We didn't find a public code on the site. The steadiest savings are multi-packs, markdowns like the sock trio, and free shipping over $100.

The Cozy Verdict

Negative's fall edit takes the brand's "nothing extra" philosophy and wraps it in waffle cotton and wine-red modal. Pick one set to live in (Garnet Whipped or Mink Waffle), add a Supreme sleep piece, and finish with the sock trio. Order before December, mind the 21-day return window, and check our Negative Underwear deals page before you check out.
