Graphene-X Materials Guide 2026: What's Really Inside Each Tee, Short and Jacket

Turn a Graphene-X shirt inside out and read the label. "90% graphene-integrated polyester." "70% ultra-fine Australian Merino." "Nylon 66 ripstop." It reads less like a clothing tag and more like a recipe.
That recipe is exactly what you're paying for. Every product page at graphene-x.com has a Technical tab listing the fabric blend, the fabric weight and the named tech behind it. We read those tabs, plus the brand's Our Tech page, on October 20, 2026, and translated them into what each material means when you're wearing it on a hot commute, a cold platform or a twelve-hour flight.

Who This Guide Is For
- Shoppers who want to know what "graphene-integrated" actually means on a label before spending $79 to $399.
- Anyone choosing between two similar pieces and wondering why one costs more.
- Gear fans who like fabric weights and test methods more than marketing lines.
Every number below comes from the brand's own product pages. Performance claims are Graphene-X's, not ours.
How to Read a Graphene-X Technical Tab
Each tab gives you four clues. Composition tells you the base fiber (polyester, nylon, merino, modal) and how much of it carries graphene. Fabric weight in gsm tells you how thick the cloth is: lower is airier, higher has more body. Garment weight tells you what it adds to a bag. And the Tech line names the system, such as GRAPHCOOL™ or GRAPHTOUGH™, which the brand explains on its Our Tech page.
Graphene-Integrated Polyester: The Everyday Base
Most of the tees and tanks start here: polyester with graphene built into the fiber, plus a little spandex for stretch. The difference between pieces is mostly fabric weight.

Kinetix Tank Shirt ($79). 90% graphene and boron nitride integrated polyester with 10% spandex, at 140gsm and just 110 grams. It's laser-cut and stitchless, so there are no hems to rub on a run or a bike ride.
Layer-X Long Sleeve ($99). The same 90/10 idea at 180gsm and 180 grams in size M. That extra weight is why the brand pitches it as a base layer when temperatures drop.
Seamless AERO Henley ($169). 97% graphene-integrated polyester and 3% spandex, knitted without seams, with a nano-fleece interior. At 295 grams it's the warm end of the polyester family, with invisible thumbholes and a black-on-black logo.

What boron nitride adds
On the Kinetix Tank and the All Rounder Polo ($99), the label adds BN, boron nitride. Graphene-X calls it "white graphene" and says these GRAPHCOOL™ fibers conduct heat away from the skin and give the fabric a smooth feel. The test the brand names for that cool-touch effect is ASTM D7984 (Qmax). Pick a BN piece if you run warm, or your summer commute ends in a crowded train.
Merino With a Graphene Backbone
The Timeless Merino Long Sleeve ($139) flips the recipe: 70% ultra-fine 16.5-micron Australian Merino wool and 30% graphene-integrated nylon, at 205gsm and 200 grams. The brand's reasoning is plain. Merino brings a soft, itch-free hand and natural odor resistance; the GRAPHTOUGH™ nylon adds structure where pure wool usually wears out. The short-sleeve version is $119.
Pick merino if you want one top you can wear several days on a trip and still layer under a jacket.
Twisted Polyester for Pants and Shorts
The All Rounder Shorts ($129) use 55% T800 twisted polyester and 45% graphene-integrated T800 twisted polyester at a light 105gsm, for 260 grams in size M. The brand lists four-way stretch, quick drying, no ironing and six pockets, one of them waterproof for a passport or phone. That light fabric is the reason they fold into a corner of a carry-on.
Nylon and Membranes for Rain

When the brief is weather, the base switches to nylon. The Everything Proof Jacket ($399) has a shell face of 95% graphene-integrated nylon and 5% spandex over a PU membrane, with a polyester lining and a 20K/20K waterproof-breathable rating. It weighs 900 grams in the EP Edition, size M. Its GRAPHTOUGH™ label points to abrasion: on the Our Tech page, Graphene-X names Martindale (ISO 12947 / ASTM D4966), tensile, tear and snag tests for that fabric family.
Insulation: Graphene Fill and Aerogel
Warm layers use GRAPHINSULATE™, which the brand describes as a mix of graphene-integrated fibers, aerogel-integrated recycled polyester and recycled synthetic fill.

GRAnaREC AIR Mid Layer ($199). A Nylon 66 ripstop shell over graphene and aerogel integrated polyester fill, 195 grams in total, with a PFC-free water-repellent finish. It packs into its own chest pocket. The Technical tab lists 30 g/m² of fill while the color option is labeled 60 g/m², so check the page if that number matters to you.
AeroGraph Puffer Vest ($299). A bio-based nylon ripstop shell, 160 g/m² of graphene-integrated fill and aerogel tubes, which Graphene-X says expand in the cold and relax when it's warmer. It weighs 490 grams. Only one size showed in stock when we checked.

The Bottom Line
Graphene-X labels are worth reading because they tell you the job each piece was built for: light graphene polyester and boron nitride for heat, merino with nylon for long trips, twisted polyester for travel shorts, nylon and a membrane for rain, and graphene-aerogel fill for warmth without bulk. Match the fabric to your hardest day, then check the Graphene-X deals page before you buy.
